NoWaste for Airbnb Hosts: A Food Inventory App for Multiple Rental Locations

NoWaste lets Airbnb and holiday home hosts track food and kitchen consumables across several rental properties. Each property is a separate location with its own pantry, fridge and freezer lists, and you can invite a cleaner or co-host so everyone updates the same stock.
Why hosts use a food inventory app
Hosts have told us they use NoWaste to manage inventory across several Airbnb properties together with their cleaner. Large property management systems handle bookings, pricing and messaging well, but kitchen stock is usually left to spreadsheets, photos in a group chat, or memory.
The cost of that gap shows up as empty coffee jars, expired milk in the fridge, and three bottles of dish soap at one property and none at the next.
One location per rental
In NoWaste, a location is a place you store food—a home, a cabin, a boat, or a rental apartment. Each location has its own inventory lists, shopping lists, recipe books, food categories and members.
- Free — one location, with household invites and no ads.
- NoWaste Pro — up to 20 locations, unlimited items, expiry reminders, the Pro barcode scanner and custom food categories. Pro is $29.99 once or $6.99 per year.
You can switch between properties from the Inventories overview, or select several lists at once to see the full picture.
Share lists with your cleaner or co-host
Invite a cleaner, co-host or business partner to each location they work at. They see the same lists on iPhone, Android or the web app, and changes sync across devices.
- Invite someone already on NoWaste by email, or share an invite code with someone new.
- Give each person access only to the properties they work at.
- Remove a member from a location when they no longer work there.
- Share your Pro purchase with up to 5 people.
A turnover routine that works
- During the clean, the cleaner checks pantry and fridge items and removes or marks expired food.
- Low items go onto that property’s shopping list. Use Essentials for staples you always want in stock.
- On the restock run, move bought items into the basket, then use Move to inventory to add them to the property’s lists.
- Scan barcodes or photograph the receipt to add many items at once.
- Sort by expiry date before each check-in to see what needs replacing.
Organise stock your way
- Create extra lists such as “Cleaning supplies”, “Welcome basket” or “Owner’s cupboard”.
- On Pro, create your own food categories and reuse one category collection across all your properties.
- Use per-item storage places so a new cleaner can find things quickly.
